4th of July Outfit Inspo for any Occasion
The unofficial start of summer may be Memorial Day weekend, but in San Diego, where May Grey and June Gloom rear their ugly heads, locals will tell you the summer starts after the Fourth of July.
If summer officially starts next week, it would be a catastrophe to show up to your backyard bbq, local parade, or beach gathering in anything less than a fabulous outfit. I threw together some boards to get you inspired for this weekend’s festivities.
Keep reading to find the cutest 4th of July outfits for any occasion and the perfect capsule pieces to re-wear all summer long.
The Cool Girl - Whether you’re riding your bike down the boardwalk, grabbing a drink on the roof, or stopping by a friend’s BBQ, this fit will make you feel cool, confident, and, most importantly, comfortable. This set can also be worn to the beach or pool if you want to swap out the bralette for a bikini and flip-flops for the Converse. You can find all of these items linked on my Amazon Storefront or LTK.
Nautical Vibes- Going on a boat or hanging at someone’s beach house? I love these linen pants from Amazon because the drawstring offers a more casual look compared to your typical tailored linen pant. You can’t go wrong with a striped sweater because say it with me “The best time to wear a striped sweater is…” if you didn’t immediately sing “all the time,” I’m not sure we can be friends. I love pairing this with some gold jewelry and a straw bag to pull it all together. Find all these items on my storefront or LTK.
Beach Bum- As I mentioned, it’s finally summer in San Diego. It’s likely one day, you’ll be by the beach, bay, or pool, so it’s important to have a patriotic fit on deck. I love finding bathing suits that are red, white, and blue but not your typical stars and stripes top that feels more costume-y and less chic. This top offers a bit more support with the racerback strap if you find yourself near the volleyball court or spike ball net and want to jump in. If you haven’t caught on yet, you can find all these items on my storefront or LTK.
Coastal Granddaughter- Going to a family gathering and want to look like you haven’t been on a five-day bender? I’m obsessed with the coastal grandmother, or let’s go with granddaughter look the past few summers. It’s giving East Coast summer, and I’m applying it to my West Coast style. For this look, stick with a more tailored linen pant and sandals instead of flip-flops or tennis shoes. Abercombie is the poster child for this style, but I found these pieces on Amazon. I also linked this outfit on LTK.
Hope these outfits help you feel cool, chic, and Patriotic this 4th of July weekend. And for more style inspo make sure to follow me on Instagram and TikTok, linked below!
